More Than Just the Goods

Western First Aid & Safety doesn't stop at the products you need. We teach you how to use them with on-site training that will help you proactively implement life-saving skills. We also offer an extensive library of safety video resources.

Training Courses


Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED): American Heart Association (AHA) or National Safety Council (NSC) Training

The course is for adult certification and teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR. Participants also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking in the responsive victim. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of three major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, and choking.

Time: approximately 5.5 hours
Fee: $95 per participant (10 participant minimum per course)
Certification: Valid for 2 years


CPR, AED, and First Aid: AHA or NSC

The course is for adult certification and teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR. Students also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking in the responsive victim. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of three major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, and choking. This is a modular course that includes essential information and training tin the first aid skills recommended by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and provides skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following and emergency until the arrival of emergency medical personnel. Instructors introduce a topic, then show a video segment. Students practice the skill, one at a time, while watching the video and discussing cases presented by the instructor.

Time: approximately 7 hours
Fee: $121.50 per participant (10 participant minimum per course)
Certification: Valid for 2 years


Blood-borne Pathogens: AHA or NSC

This course provides participants with knowledge requires to identify blood-borne pathogens and to protect against exposure. The course meets requirements established by OSHA. Main topics covered are OSHA requirements, exposure and health effects, controls, and post-exposure actions.

Time: One hour (independent topic); may be added to CPR and/or First Aid courses (additional 30 minutes class time).
Fee: Independent class: $337.50 for up to 15 participants; $20.25 per participant over 15; OR $20.25 per participant additional if added to CPR/AED and/or First Aid courses..


Forklift Training

This is a Powered Industrial Truck Safety for Authorized Operators course that includes classroom and hands-on practical evaluations for each participant.

Fee: Safety Meeting, $540, plus $114.75 for each evaluation.
Other related courses: Powered Pallet Jacks, Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, Rough Terrain Forklift/Extended Reach/Telehandler and Aerial Work Platforms.


OSHA 10 Hour and OSHA 30 Hour Courses

Western First Aid and Safety's OSHA Team will instruct these courses in English or Spanish.

Fees: Fees vary based upon course logistics and participants; please inquire for a quote.


Safety Walk-through Audits and Safety Manual Generation

Western First Aid and Safety's OSHA Team will perform on-site evaluations and audits of worksites to generate a suggested remediation report. We also provide annual safety programs and assistance with the development of a custom company safety manual.

Fee: $803.25, basic audit and report; other fees vary based upon need; please inquire for a quote.


Medic Placement/Staffing (available in the following states: Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida)

Western First Aid and Safety employs certified, experienced safety EMTs and Paramedics for land-based, remote/hazardous worksite emergency response. All of our response personnel have extensive safety backgrounds, and they regularly assist in safety functions, including issuance of permits, facilitation of safety meetings, and participation on company safety committees. Each has, in addition to EMS certification, current HASC Basic Plus and a TWIC card. We accept short term and long term assignments including plant construction, refinery shutdown/turnarounds, disaster support and special events.
